Klopp: Top 4 finish for LFC tough but not impossible

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are 6 points behind 4th placed Manchester City and remain firm outsiders for any chance of making the top four.

Liverpool have endured an unremarkable League campaign and travel to Crystal Palace for match number 28 on Sunday.

Klopp said:

“I don't know whether I believe we can make top four, but I've thought about bigger wonders in life than this!”

“We can only go in the top four, at this moment, if the others makes mistake. We have to do everything right and they have to make mistakes. You can say it doesn't look like we can make it, but they have already made some mistakes.

“That is how it is, sometimes things do happen — teams do make mistakes. So we have to take points consistently, and we can watch the table, and if something happens then we can judge if we can make it, and think something new about being in the top four.”

Klopp also refused to target just the Europa League over the Premier League

“We only have, for sure, two games in the Europa League — even though of course we want more, and the Premier we still have 11. So of course we should still be concentrating on the Premier League and the top four.”

Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace for a 1:30pm game on Sunday.
